Depends on the version of the applet you are using - we replaced the Flash-based one with a DHTML one when we released version 5.1 (Dec 08).

If you're using the flash-based applet, reloading the page (or loading a different page) may fix it because the applet uses a persistent connection while it is loaded.  Check your event logs for connection errors, and check the System -> Security tab for applet security settings (ports, authentication).

I've not seen this problem with the newer DHTML version - this just makes direct requests from your browser to the admin server. Wireshark or livehttpheaders may help here.

You can restart the Zeus software, but that's a very drastic measure. If the problem persists, send a problem description and a tech support report to our support team (support@zeus.com, put customer number in subject line).

Owen

Thanks for the response.. I actually had to restart the VM to get this to work again.

I restarted the zxtm software and that didn't fix so during next maint. window I just rebooted both zeus machines.

Not that I discovered the problem with any of this .. but the applet is working now.. We're using 6.0r3 so we are well past the moves you made in 5.1

Hi,

I only had a few occurrences with 5.1r0 - the status applet just went blank.  When the applet stopped, it could always be resumed by reloading the page.  Also there was a bug when you hover over a Virtual Server 'bar' in the status applet - if there are two Traffic Managers assigned to the VS, then the port number displayed was double what it should be.
All of these seemed to be resolved in 5.0r1 & later.  The number of Virtual Servers shown also got capped to 7 at some stage - I presume to save on the bandwidth and load for the updates, which happen every second.
I've had no problems with 6.0r2 & 6.0r3.

Best to log a call with Zeus Support when it next happens.

Cheers,
Steven
