DNS configuration for glb

I am trying to find out best practice for DNS placement (inline, parallel) for glb configuration.  Any recommendation?  also if i go parallel mode how do i specify ip address for A entry?
For example i can create glb service www.example.com. but where i specify ip address of monitor traffic IP on ZXTM?
please advise,
